Philip Marlowe Car

Anyone remember the car that Powers Boothe drove as Philip Marlowe on the old HBO series? My memory tells me it was a mid thirties sporty convertible, maybe with a rear mounted spare as opposed to sidemounts.

I think it was a 36 Plymouth coupe.

I don't know about the TV show, but Bogart, as Marlow, drove a 38 Plymouth Deluxe (P6) in the classic "the Big Sleep."

Thanks guys, I remember that being a sweet car. My dad thought it was of the mopar origin, probably plymouth.

i think it was a 37 and 38 plymouth coupe in the same movie. i thought it neat boggie made enough from the client to get a new car during the story.
