1940? chevy special deluxe? Whats it worth?

Found this car today at a local farmers bush line, He said he started it up about 15 years ago , but has been parked outside for 30 years. the glass is all good, and the body doesn't look to be to bad. What a car like this worth fixed up?, and what's it worth right now in its current shape? Thanks ,dayne

My opinion is free, you get what you pay for. I'd say it's worth about $1,000 in it's present state. Fixed up would be $10-12,000 but it would cost maybe $20,000 to get it there.

I agree. Maybe worth even less. Certainly not more. This is just like my first car, except for the Buick wannabe trim. If the bottom [floor] is not rusted out, a person might get it to a drivable condition for a couple thousand, IF engine does not need rebuilt. Looks like a good project, though.
