Guest Thunderbyte
I found what I think is a pretty good deal on a car and would like advice on a good method to determine value. Its a 1946 Mercury Eight, 4 door. It's in fair condition, numbers matching motor rebuilt in the 1970s. Only about 500 miles since rebuild, but runs good today. Interior is old and will need replaced. Ok paint from the 70s, copper color not original. Body is good with a few older repairs showing their age. Chrome is pitting but could be re-chromed. Two rear side windows will need replaced. Under the car looks good, frame is very solid. I can post a pic of the car if it helps. This is a 4 door so I'm sure it's not as desirable as a 2 door, but still pretty cool. I have been looking everywhere I could think of to determine value but no luck. There just arent many of these for sale that i can find.Any ideas on where to get an idea of value? I'm just looking for a ballpark on a running car that is not a show winner as it sits. Thanks in advance for any advice...
