Guest Bob Barrow
Does anyone know if the prop valve located in the rear brake line under the drivers seat can be taken apart in order to replace what looks like an "O" ring that is seeping a little bit? Thanks, Bob Barrow boblorna2@gmail.com
Guest My TC Toy
I would suggest that if it went together it can come apart, however you may not find the parts you need. Are you sure it is the valve itself or a fitting on the brake line?
vonblood
I too may be in need for one of these valves. I am only getting fluid to the drivers rear brake. Nothing getting to the passengers side rear. Tc gos to the repair shop Monday to see if the problem is in the valve, the line, or the caliper it self. A little hard to work on with out a lift and I have done as much diagnosis as I am comfortable doing. If it is in the valve, are there any to be had.......aftermarket, Tc parts, any others options? Bob.....did you have any luck rebuilding yours?

Bob.....did you have any luck rebuilding yours? If you find that the prop valve is leaking(just feel with your hand). Mine was leaking and was able to remove it and take it apart and replace the "O" ring. I got it at a local rubber hose supply place. Hopes this helps you. Bob Barrow, Windsor Ont. Barney Eaton
The proportioning valve should not affect the flow to one side. It is called a proportioning valve but is actually a regulator valve. Coming from the front there is between 1500-2400 psi (the Teves system is unlike any other brake system) the valve reduces the pressure to a lower working pressure. If you are not getting fluid to one side, you have another problem. vonblood
I had mistaken the "T" that splits the rear brake line to the right and left side for the prop.valve. I see now my mistake. I hope to have the answer in the next couple days on if its that T or the line going from it to the brake caliper. Thanks for the replies, Scott
