Guest Hector
While at the Auto Fair a fellow Buick owner asked me if a knew of a source for the blower resistor on his '85 Riviera,he has been searching and calling places with no luck for some time.I suggested that he search the ROA,BCA or V8 Buick sites but I got the impression that he wasn't comfortable navigating the sites. He gave me his contact info in case that I could come up with some usable information to solve his problem.Does anyone knows where to locate the part or a replacement that will work? Thanks. sosuzguy
If it's the blower resister for Electonic Climate Control they do not exist unless you can find a NOS or used part which is very costly! BUT... It's a possibility that Caspers Electronics sells something for it that would work. The GN's and Regals could come with ECC too so they are plagued with this problem. FYI I have never used this product. REF: http://forums.aaca.org/f177/82-85-riv-elect-climate-control-311695.html

Rivieraman
yes very hard to come by! I have kept a few out of the parts cars that I have parted out and will hang on to them for spare. I have herad the 80's Cadillac fleetwood's and brougham's eldo's all have the same part. I would contact the ht4100 group on yahoo
sosuzguy
I have seen a few Rivieras that have caught on fire because someone ran a wire to this and put a switch on it to turn it off and on instead of fixing it. Problem is it has constant 12v even after key off.
