my 1955 was restored by others about 10 years ago and they did not replace the trunk weatherstripping or rubber lid bumpers. I looked for the weatherstripping and have not found the correct info Eg: it is attached to the trunk lid, it attaches to the body, there was none.

also I purchased two different types of bumpers but each one was too small to lock into the holes on the lid.

there must be someone out there that knows what is proper.

Chief1:

The trunk weather seal attaches to the trunk lid. Here are a few sources for the seal and bumpers:

Bob's Automobilia - Home page

Steele Rubber - Steele Rubber Products - Quality Crafted Automotive Rubber Parts and Weatherstripping

Rubber the Right Way - Classic Car Parts - Weatherstripping Parts - Rubber Car Parts

packick: thanks for the info. I don't know if it makes any difference if my car is a special not a roadmaster. I'll try

the supplier's page for the correct fit.

Just visited the RUBBER THE RIGHT WAY site and ordered the trunk and some window seals. Thanks again for the help.
