Another view of the 1960 Electra.

Casino Cream would fit right in for me here in Reno. But at upwards of 65k I would have to be able to live in it too.lol

I'm loving this '65 Electra 225 2-door hardtop currently offered on Ebay. A factory A/C car with the single carb 425-cid engine, it's finished in my favorite 1965 Buick color, Midnight Aqua.

If it had the beautiful cornering lamp assemblies, it would strike me as just about perfect!

The favorite by far of the ones I've owned was my '65. It was the same color as the one on Ebay, but no vinyl top and mine was a 4 dr. Also my seats were green cloth. I remember the foam headliner didn't last long as my son was young at that time. If I ever get my '61 LeSabre done, that is probably what I will look for next.

Doug, great to see your post. My parents bought the first new '61 LeSabre delivered in my hometown. Ours was a model 4439 in solid Desert Fawn. I have always loved these cars.

Yep, I remember when my father bought ours, a beige 4 dr. hardtop '61 Electra. He looked at a red LeSabre convertible with dual exhaust first, but ultimately decided on the Electra. My sister had just gotten her license and I can vividly remember riding with her when she dropped off her boyfriend. She always put it in Low and laid down twin streak of rubber a good ways up the street when she pulled away. Good memories...

When I started my search on Ebay for a '61, it took several years before I found the one I ultimately bought. My brother-in-law and I had a great time on the 1700+ mile round trip to bring it back. It's been a great joy to me to get it running and finally to the point where I could drive it. Still needs work, but I'm getting there!

I love the low-mileage, original 1963 Electra 225 coupe formerly owned by late BCA member, Tom Liddy. Tom sold it to a buyer in my area, but, sadly, the car was never shown at any local Buick events, and has now been sold again.

Beautiful car. The only thing I like on a '66 over a '65 is the tail section. Much cleaner looking and putting the gas fill cap behind the license plate was much better than having it between the taillights.

Finally got my 61 on the road this past weekend...it has been a 16 year journey! Still have a few things to iron out, but the important thing is that one more 61 "deuce and a quarter" is back on the road!

Really spectacular, mp67riv!

This is a "signature" color scheme for these cars, and yours looks really wonderful. Please share some interior photos when you have an opportunity.

Nice car! Can't wait to get mine on the road one of these days. Hope it doesn't take that long, but I do understand how quickly time passes.

Doug, would love to see more photos of your LeSabre as well! Is your car Phoenix Beige with a Cordovan roof? We had a '61 LeSabre service loaner in this color scheme for a couple of days when I was a kid.

Actually according to the paint code it is sun valley cream and arctic white, but 52 years have taken their toll. It has a little over 60,000 miles on it and while North Dakota doesn't use salt on their roads the other elements have surely not done it a lot of good. Plus the seller used a power washer on it prior to taking pictures of it for ebay. A lot of the paint flaked off on the roof which is why it appears so dark.

Next time I get it out I will take some better pictures of it. All I have now are from the ebay auction. I did make a video of it not too long after getting it home which can be seen here:

It's not the greatest video, but it does show off the car pretty well. I have replaced the bad hood hinge as well as done a lot of work to the car since then, but since I haven't done any body work, it still looks the same. I have it here in my heated garage and I work on it when I have something new to work on or parts to put on. I'm retired now, so work is slow, but I do what I can when I can.

Neat car, Doug! Thanks for the video link. The car looks very straight and complete, and it appears that you have a great car to work on. Nice that it has the bright upper door frame and drip rail moldings option. Please keep us posted on your progress.
