What do these NOS Trunk or Door handles fit?

I have some NOS trunk or door handles that I recently acquired. I figured out the application to the rest. These 4 have me stumped. Any help would be appreciated. The first one which I didn't put a number in the photo has a tag that says Hudson Essex. I searched those handles though and this one isn't an exact match. The escutcheon is different. Number 2 resembles a 37-38 Mopar trunk but I don't think that is correct. Number 3 Is similar to my 36 Chrysler rumble seat handle but it has the wrong escutcheon, Number 4 was tagged Packard Decklid but the quality doesn't look packard to me. That's the only clues I have right now. Any thoughts? post-43003-143141841917_thumb.jpg

I sure that photo # 1 is 28 Hudson. It's a match to the handles on my coupe.

The DeSoto and Plymouth items have an oval escutcheon...otherwise the same. Sorry for the mis i.d.

My Hudson style handle escutcheon doesn't have the little rib in it. Is it still correct for one? It looks to be just a smooth transisiton up to the face of the escutcheon, not a step like yours. It does have a 246 Number stamped in the shaft that goes inside the door.

You are right, The escutcheon, is slightly differant, with the handle being the same. Hudson in 28 had three styles of handles. the short wheel base, the long WB, and the B&S body cars.

I am haveing a devil of a time getting a matching set for the interior of my 28 coupe. I keep picking one up here and there, Thinking "Ah Ha. I've got it" , then only to realize I still don't have a set that match.

Is your escutcheon stamped or cast? Mine is stamped. I will have a look for a number on it.
