Ian_Greenlaw
Hi everyone.I was digging around in my boxes of stuff for my 34 Dodge and came across two ashtrays. One is plain and the other ( which I do have the handle / knob for ) is exactly the same shape but has an almost lookalike little dodge emblem. The emblem is metal and there are two holes drilled into the ashtray where spring clips attach on the other side.Does anyone know if these were both for 34's and one is just a bit more fancy than the other or are they for different years ?Ian
Ken_Lincoln
Mine is just plain, but I would be going with the badged one... looks neat
1936 D2
The badge is "sort of" like the Dodge emblem but not quite. Could that one be an "after market" piece? That cover looks a bit newer or "less used" than the one on the right which may then be the original?
countrytravler
I'll check out our 34s
Ian_Greenlaw
Hi,The one with them emblem does look at though someone has repainted it a some stage. They both are identical in size and shape.Interesting.
Silverdome
I have only seen the plain type on '34's. It seems from way back in my memory that there was a badge on a '35 or '36 model I seen once. You might take off the badge and see if there are any part numbers or identifying marks on it.
Reg Evans
Here's my 35. No badge and wood grained.
keiser31
The emblem on the one ashtray plate looks to be mounted slightly crooked......may be an indication that someone added it later.

Ian_Greenlaw
The crooked mounting of the emblem may be my fault. I removed the retaining clips at the back then I took the photo which is probably why it looks crooked and it was loose.I've got some more weird things down the track to post including an accessory that I have never seen before.Ian
countrytravler
I looked at our 34s (4) of them, the radio dial takes place of the ashtray.
