Pull-out MAP LIGHT and a RED LIGHT with flasher

Here are 2 light that could be for a dashboard area.

One is what appears to be a pull-out light that might be for map reading. It has a small red lens at end.

The other has a nice red glass lens and trigger with a flasher online.

Car...year?

The last light in your photo with the switch and wire looks like a early 50's Pontiac park brake signal. Is it for sale?

What you're calling a "pull out" light is a cigarette lighter. When it's ready you can see the glow through the red lens. It could be for any number of cars.

Mr Mellor...maybe you can see in the photos of the 'pull-out' map light as I called it, there is a bulb seat fixture. Also there is a window with a celluloid film lens. I would guess that this would allow a driver/passenger to rotate and direct the light in a direction to suit. The thing is quite overbuilt and heavy duty with that big nut around waist. This item is definitely not a cigarette lighter. Please pardon my resolution as I am by no means an auto expert. I was actually just wondering if anyone knew the era, maker or automobile affiliation. And if it was perhaps not really for 'map reading' but maybe for lighting an ignition switch/control panel or something. It is a Light.

It DOES have that look of the "Tiger Eye" style cigarette lighter, but I see what sandtrooper is saying.

I have the same light in my collection

and I found out

it's a 1935-37 cadillac/la Salle cats eye map light

Jajolee! what a most excellent entry with image as well. Looks like 2 of the same type fixtures side by side - one with red light and one w/o. Outstanding.
