sandtrooper
Here are 3 head lamp support forks. One has an attached mounting bracket with a faint logo and numbers '437'? on the mounting strap that has 2 holes. The other 2 are very similar being plain with a certain precision. The red pair are brass. I have another one very like these latter 2 but with threaded top ends.Anyone know which auto and what year they might be?thanks very much. Layden B
First fork with brackets attached to a loop on the side of the fork appears to be a marriage of a headlamp fork and top iron brackets. The headlamp fork would have been mounted at the bottom and the loop attaches a rod connecting 2 forks together for vibration damping and frequently provides a place to hang license plate.Red fork and it's similar were used on many early cars in the gas lamp era as they were adjustable to take the owners choice of headlamps which varied a lot in size.
