MrEarl
Thank you Marck!!! what a great read indeed. I have admired pictures of this car for some time but never knew it's history or heard this story. Casino Beige is one of my favorite colors of the 54's as it really helps make all the chrome just pop. I wonder what ever happened to Grandpa Joe's Super. MrEarl
Casino Beige is one of your favourite 54 colours Mr. Earl. Oh really ?You had one and sold it to ME !! While a sad day it was, twas one I will never look back on and mourn, for you have made her so very happy. Twas a darker shade of twilight the evening before she was loaded on the cold long trailer for her future voyage across the sea, and to a new life... down under.... Rooster
It sends a shiver down my spine everytime I see that 2 ton back end hanging over the back of the truck.
MrEarl
It sends a shiver down my spine everytime I see that 2 ton back end hanging over the back of the truck. :eek:Rooster, I never showed you these did I? Believe me there was no more room to pull it forward.Me and the driver had some words so I was sure to take these shots to have as backup had anything happened. And if you recall, this was the 2nd hauler, the first one refused to load due to the emergency brakes not functioning 100% and I had to adjust them before this one loaded. Sorry to hijack your thread Marck, but at least it is still '54 related.
