fozz71
I have a '28 Vic Six and this steering wheel came on it- doesn't look right but it matches the column- does anyone think I have an entire newer steering wheel column or just an incorrect wheel? Open to your thoughts. Or maybe the wooden ring was garbage and got it replaced with a cheapo black ring? Thanks,Jim Edited March 28, 2013 by fozz71 (see edit history)
jpage
Question, I see what appears to be a plugged hole opposite the one spoke? If all four spokes have this same plugged hole it appears that someone took a rim from maybe a Model A and spliced it to this wheel. This looks like it was originally a wood rimmed wheel. fozz71
I wonder if a Model T wooden wheel will fit a Dodge bros spider? I think they are both about 16" diameter- what does anyone else think? Thanks,Jim

ahdodge
Any ideas on where or by whom I can have my vic 6 wooden steering wheel rim replaced??Thanks Tom
fozz71
I may try and locate a wooden ring at a car swap, maybe an old Model T ring as they are the same size. The only difference will be the grips; Model T rings are smooth and the Vic 6 were ridged. Other than that- you'd have to find a custom woodworker to have one made.Jim Edited April 3, 2013 by fozz71 clarify (see edit history)
