fozz71
Hey friends, I know the DB serial # is supposed to be somewhere near the shackle on the passenger side of the frame rail. Can anyone post a pic of where their number is and what it looks like.....I have been studying that spot and can't find any numbers yet. Thanks in advance,Jim

MIClassicGirl
Jim, I hope this helps giving you an idea on the Vic Six where the VIN can be found on the frame. It is located right around where the rear part of the front springs attach to the frame, passenger side. Aa you can see from the second photo, it is stamped very lightly. We had a bit of a time finding ours. Hope this helps, Shannon
fozz71
Shannon- is that location normally covered by part of the fender? I may either have to sanded paint away or remove the fender. Whaddaya think?

Guest 1930
The numbers sometimes show up on the flange here as well, it was a security caution from what I have been told
MIClassicGirl
Jim, with how lightly ours was imprinted in the metal, you may have to remove some paint to find it. I know if ours was painted, we probably would not have found the numbers either. My husband really had to watch for it when he was looking for it. Do you still have the tag on the passenger floorboard with the numbers? Mu husband believes you should be able to see the numbers underneath the edge of the front fender. We don't believe it's covered by the fender. Let me know if you have any other questions. Shannon
fozz71
I don't have the old floorboards with the plate on it yet- I wish I did. Maybe tomorrow I'll start sanding in that area and see if anything is revealed underneath. If I uncover anything- I'll post it for sure. Thanks for your help,Jim
MIClassicGirl
We have the frame repainted now. I will look and see if you can see the numbers or not. We have the springs attached so I can give another photo showing just where ours is. You are welcome! Shannon
