Guest Mc_Reatta
You can try lubing all the tracks but ultimately new motors are probably the key to restoring performance.
Barney Eaton
It could be binding and need lube but replacement motors are cheap and not that difficult to replace. If you replace the motor, you still need to clean and lube all the tracks, guides, rollers, etc when you are working on the motor replacement. padgett
If goes up a ways, stops, then after a bit goes up a little further the you need a new motor (I have had good luck with Siemans - plug). I would not bother with a used one. OTOH if just very slow but does not stop, it just needs cleaning and lubing. In any event the door card needs to come off. ol' yeller
Be careful in there. While the regulator removal is somewhat easy, follow FSM instructions on removing the motor or you could lose a finger or worse. The spring is under great tension. padgett
Agree. I generally drill a hole for a 1/4" bolt an nut to lock in position then R&R the motor. Once the motor is solidly bolted or riveted down, remove the bolt.
