Guest Steeleco
I'm all set to do my electric choke conversion which includes using an oil pressure sensor that has an additional set of switch contacts to turn on the choke heater only when the engine is running. Here is my question: What kind of wire should I use and where can I get it? I guess the Oil pressure sensor gets pretty hot. I don't want the insulation of the wire to melt. Maybe I'm thinking to hard on this. Thanks for the help in advance!
1965rivgs
You`re thinking too hard...standard automotive wire is fine. Should be available at any decent auto parts store. Tom Mooney
Guest 63-Cat
I just used standard stranded automotive wire and ran it inside 1/4" black plastic wire loom to hide it. No problems at all.
Guest Steeleco
Update on my electric choke install. I went on easy including the oil sensor with switch contacts. Works great. Starts up with choke on when you give it a pump with the accellerator then in a short period of time it opens up wide.
