FLYER15015
Hi All,We need to re-activate stock_steve's thread and put some pressure on the BCA & AACA for another run of licence plate frames.I would be up for 2 of either and I suspect that I'm not alone.O.K. Guys, you all can chime in here.............Mike in Colorado
g-g-g0
I believe that there was a vendor (maybe the BCA) that was selling them in South Bend.
FLYER15015
Al,Yup, your right, the AACA frame is listed, but with three *** next to the description, it means that they are out of stock. You can order the AACA frame, but no indication when it will ship.As for the Buick Club frame the BCA website is "bare bones"...........I guess somebody in the know needs to jump in here.Mike in Colorado
Guest Henry White
I tried to sell a beautiful NOS pair of BCA frames here recently but was "interrupted" by someone who didnt agree with the price. He cost me a sale too. So I pulled the listing and said the heck with it. Who knows what I may do with them now. I wish people would not stick their nose where it dont belong. FLYER15015
Henry,There is no accounting for some peoples manners. I learned mine from my Grandmother, who with just a "look" could send me into a state of terror. That being said, please accept our collective apology from "the Buick community"..............If you would be so kind as to repost your frames here, we might be able to help you out. Remember, pictures ans pricing makes things go faster.Mike in Colorado
Guest Henry White
Mike, Thank you for the concern, but it was no big deal to me. I am not able to do pictures though so maybe it would be best if I have my friend post them on ebay because he does have picture capabilities. But with the market being as soft as it is these may end up being tossed as apparently, like my show car Buick they are not worth anything anyway. It is starting to look as if my car will be parked under a tree to rot into the ground because I cant get half what it cost to restore.
stock_steve
Thanks to a very nice fellow forum member here from north of the border, I am happy to have one of these very cool frames now! That said, I'd still be interested if BCA was thinking of starting up another run of them... -Rich
Hi all,My chapter of the BCA (Dixie Chapter) has been looking into this idea for a while now. We're considering taking on the project of having new frames made for us, and then selling to any Club members who may want them. We're currently talking with several vendors about price and material (metal, of course - not plastic), and hope to make a decision soon. Sounds like this discussion is a good gauge that there's some interest in having these available again. In the meantime, and likes or dislikes of the the old frames would be appreciated. We want to make sure people would be happy with the frames if we go forward and have them made again. Thoughts and ideas and welcome!!
dship
I had sold an older pair at South Bend. They were returned to me because there was no cutout in the top left and right corners to accommodate a State DMV sticker that a lot of states require on rear license plates nowadays (I subsequently resold just one). You might want to consider that when speaking to vendors.
