when people are looking for parts , I always ask for a part number which you provided but I now ask for a better description or picture,I have boxes full of parts from that era but have no part numbers (used parts)

What is a gas tank fuel pickup?

Thanks for your reply, Robert. Studebaker actually called it a gasoline tank outlet pipe assembly. It is not electrical. It has a large diameter pipe for the fuel supply to the vacuum tank, a curved vent pipe and a small diameter pipe which is the atmospheric pressure line for the gas gauge dash unit which looks like a thermometer.I may be able to get a picture shortly.

I have different ones.

I can make some better pictures if anyone is interested in these.

I also have a good used gas tank for a Model 54.

I believe that tank fits several years.

I have a service bulletin for the non-electrical fuel gauge and it includes a diagram of the fuel tank pickup tube device in case it is of help I'll attach a copy here.
