What are the chances prior owner had two Reattas?

So I bought my 88 firemist last year. I even met the widows owner who had a large house with acreage and many add-on garages.

What are the chances the same owner had my Reatta and this "twin" Reatta too? Both were registered in Lake Oswego, OR. Just thinking out loud here.

BTW, $10k seems steep for an 80k mile coupe.

Door panel has patched tear, missing floor mats, not a fan of the Riviera wood trim treatment.

Many states will sell you vehicle registration information. A fellow in Florida did a search on Reatta convertibles about 5 year back and they gave him the owners name, address, and phone number along with the vin number of the car. As I recall he had to pay $50 to start the process, when the search was finished it cost him about a penny a car and they returned the remainder of his $50's

I get information from R.L. Polk about one a year. In 2011 there were the following numbers registered in Washington state. 1988 = 0, 1989 = 66, 1990 coupe = 79, 1990 convertibles = 8, 1991 coupes = 32, 1991 convertibles = 1 (186 total Reattas)

For 2012 the Washington state numbers were 1988 = 31, 1989 = 50, 1990 coupe = 86, 1990 convertible = 30, 1991 coupe = 11, 1991 convertibles = 0 (208 total) I cannot explain the big number changes ....like on 1988 coupes and 1990 convertibles

Can't see why not. I've known couples who had matching cars, and quite often expensive ones (Jaguar, Mercedes Benz among others) and while the Reatta was not a cheap car by any means when new, it was certainly within range for the country club set, to whom these cars seemed to appeal a lot anyway.

Makes me think of some people I worked for a few years ago. Had matching Mercedes 'verts, his had the vanity plate "EARNS" and hers had "SPENDS". Too close to the truth to be truly funny.

Back in 95 -96 the wife drove a white 90 and I drove a blue 89. They were our only 2 cars.
