I want to buy a 1941 or 1942 Cadillac.

Preferably a series 61 or 63.

As original as possible, and a good driver.

Spring is soon here, and I'm looking for car to fill the free space in my new garage. I'm sure somone has a beauty in theirs garage that does not get out often enough:-)

Please send pictures and information to: bjerkhaug at yahoo dot no

Thanks

Morty :-)

Morty, we just had a 1941 Cadillac Series 61 4-door sedan arrive today and I thought of you immediately. It is a partial restoration, with newer paint (Sequoia Cream, from the Buick chart, car was originally black) a very nice tan tweed interior, and a rebuilt engine. The chrome is original and I would rate most of it a 5 out of 10, and it is not nearly as nice as the rest of the car. The usual pitting on the cast pieces, with very straight bumpers that will be easy to re-chrome, and correct bumper guards freshly chromed. Stainless trim is quite good, and it comes with the quarter window surrounds, which are with the car but not installed as the owner could not find the correct clips (Restoration Supply has them). Runs and drives extremely well, very straight and clean underneath, but not detailed for show. Brand new Diamondback wide whitewall radials installed last summer at a cost of more than $1000. Manual transmission, NOT a HydraMatic.

A good, solid car that can be used as-is and upgraded over time. We're only asking $19,900 for it, so it's a LOT of car for the money.

Please let me know!

Morty, 1942 Cadillacs are scarce, since production for that

model year was curtailed for World War II. However, 1941

Cadillacs are popular and common, so you'll have the luxury

of choosing your model, condition, and almost even the color

if you opt for a 1941!
