Matt Harwood
I wonder if spray welding would be an option? Does anyone know if they can spray in confined areas like the inside of this cast piece? Obviously the metal needs to be rebuilt from within.
Restorer32
If we had to repair it we might consider slicing it in half then using both halves to have new castings made. We would then TIG weld the two halves back together and mill the gasket surfaces flat and parallel. We have done this before with other complex castings. To have a core box pattern made for a complicated hollow casting would be wildly expensive.
34PackardRoadsta
It might be possible to build it up with welding. The shop I use in MN can probably help. Odyssey Restorations (763) 786-1518
