Guest
I'm asking on behalf of a friend who in turn has a friend with a 1942 Harley Davidson he's trying to set a value on. I am told it is a civilianized ex-military bike, model number WLA. I don't know about HD's or their value, can anyone help or steer me in a direction? Thanks, Bill
1937hd45
Bill, I'd post that question on www.flatheadpower.com It is a GREAT site dedicated to hands on Harley restorers/riders. Lots of very knowledgeable guys that will give you an honest answer, just be sure to post an accurate discription. It has the same look as this site. My guess is that the bike has civilian fenders, and some bolt on chrome goodies. There is a trend to restore the WLA's back to stock.*** Just went to the site: Click on Skip intro, then Tech Talk, then Talk Flatheads. The WLA has a 45 cubic inch motor and is often called a 45, no matter what year it is.
[ 05-28-2002: Message edited by: 1937hd45 ]
