Oil Pump ID

I'm reassembling the v12 and am a bit stumped by the oil pump. I'm trying to figure out what it is.

The case is stamped with "D1", a plate with "231" on it and "P-4141". a couple of places there's a "H" in a circle. I'm guessing it may be a hi-flow because the end cover opposite the spiral gear is bulged and not flat and held on by 6 hex bolts. I can't find this pump anywhere online. The pickup tube mount has its bolts parallel to the pump shaft, and the big bypass valve nut runs alongside the shaft, not perpendicular like all the ones I've seen.

Here are pics

This appears to be an after market oil pump for a flathead V8 Lincoln. These make a dandy replacement for the the original and are indeed higher volumn. Be sure to check the clearance between the screen and the bottom of the oil pan. You may have to bend the entrance tube a bit to get the clearance.

Cool. Didn't even know there was such a thing as a Flathead 8 Lincoln. The clearances are good. thanks for the heads up though Dee. Whoever had my engine before I did really did a good job on it. Everything in spec and gorgeous inside. I don't think I needed to do the complete teardown, but of course didn't know that until I got it apart. Better safe than sorry. With any luck, I should have it firing within a few weeks of late nights in the garage.

Not quite sure what that is, but I'm guessing you're referring to the insert in the oil pan. Looks like a shelf extension. Kinda loose in there? I'll try and get pictures.
