George Albright
For Sale. A Cadillac transmission removed in the 1960s from a restored 1931 Cadillac V8 that was rolled, totaled, and parted out. Former owner bought this trans from the wreck as a backup spare for his fully restored 1931 Cadillac V8 at the time. He sold that car long ago but kept the trans. I am told this is the first year of the Cadillac sychro trans. Thus it is a valuable piece for 1930s and 1940s hot rodders to put behind their Ford Model A and V8 engines. According to the vintage Hollander Interchange Exchange Manual this single model of trans was used in ALL 1930 and 1931 Cadillac and LaSalle V8 V12 and V16 models. ( V-8,V-12,V-16)Thus it is very rare and desirable.(see below). Condition inside unknown other than was represented by former owner. See photos. Always stored in garage since 1960s. Currently stored in Napa. Calif. I can assist with shipping anywhere in the USA thru www.Uship.coom which I use frequently. Cost of shipping and crating if necessary is born by the buyer. Please share with your Cadillac,LaSalle, and hot rod friends. Price is $1,500.
