So, where can I get a wiring harness for both the engine and the dash for my '48? (a friend of mine may have one but I am checking just in case) I would like to plug it all into a modern fuse box.

I got the wiring harnesses for my '41 Zephyr from Rhode Island Wiring. Everything fit well and great service. They have all the old wiring charts with proper color codes to match the wiring diagrams. Check them out!

I got a fuse box from a boat supply place, has a nice cover and fits up on the inside of the driver's cowl area. Then I found an ignition switch from a 60's Econoline that could be matched to the Lincoln door key. However, reconnecting the accessories means adding to the stock harness, and unless you are careful leads to a mess of wires.
