That same hurricane nearly wrecked my 56.  3 years after that storm my car was dragged out of a basement and set on the side of the road for a junkyard to retrieve. By happenstance I passed by and bought it.  When I got it home it still had water in the engine, transmission and presumably the rear axle. There was even seaweed clinging to the frame.  Ahhh, the good ole days!

I thought of this thread when I stumbled across that photo on my computer today.  If I remember correctly that Reatta belonged to the mother of a member of the forum.  She had to be cut out of it. Although she was injured she survived.  Sorry for the scare Lamar. Mine is safely tucked away in the garage waiting for Spring.
