Guest mowermack
Hi, I'm new to this forum and I have a 39 Hudson touring car. It is fairly sound but is going to need some TLC. I am wondering how difficult is it to find parts and things?
keiser31
Welcome to the forum. Got any photos of the car?? You might scroll down to the "Hudson, Essex, Terraplane" forum below for parts and things.
Jon37
If by "touring car" you mean a 4-door convertible, this must be some sort of custom-built car. The factory never produced any of that body style in 1939, to my knowledge. I suggest you post your questions at the Hudson Forum, over at Hudson Discussions on Classic Car Forum
StillOutThere
To respond, we need to know what kind of parts you require for the car. If mechanical, not too much of a problem. If sheet metal then a few photos will be very helpful. If other, we need specifics. And where you are located is going to make a difference as to whether this car was Detroit built or by a coachbuilder in another country. In other words we are unable to give you a good answer without good information from you. A VIN number would be helpful so we know what model and what wheelbase you have. Dave Mellor NJ
"Touring" is one of those terms used very loosely. I doubt if it's any thing but a sedan.
keiser31
In the mid to late thirties a lot of cars were called "touring sedans".
