Guest 2003nbc
Trying to repair a 1930's Chevrolet radio - it has a lock.Where can I find a key blank, would it be a Briggs and Stratton? I'm new to old Chevrolets - my question - why a lock on the on/off switch. Also anyone have any helpful hints as to replacing a broken string? bubba
There are a few radio restoration places that could probably help with the key blank. I have an early Buick with a key stored away. If I find it I'll look. The reason for the key is that the radio was installed with the pos voltage direct to the battery side of the ignition with an inline fuse. The key stopped others from leaving it on and draining the battery fast
Vila
Since you have the lock cylinder out it may have the key code stamped on the front or side of the cylinder. Jesser's Classic Keys can cut keys by code.
