4 Peaks
The oil seal on the compressor side of the turbo on my 89 went bad and leaked oil into the turbo and on into the hoses. The pressure forced oil through the rubber. The hoses are covered with oil inside and out. Any ideas on how I might clean the hoses? Only thing I can think of is to wipe them down with gasoline. Of course I'm not going to reinstall the hoses til the turbo is repaired.

Guest My TC Toy
My experience with hoses is that once the get oil soaked they tend to get soft over time. I would replace them with new ones when you reinstall the turbo. It may cost a few dollars but they won't give you any more trouble or work.
