Guest chevy_dude97
So I went out to CA this past week and my dad has a new project he was picking up (51 Chevy) and at the place we went to look at it his friend had a 65 Skylark, now this is not a normal or stock vehicle it has had major mods done to it..... hydraulics.... custom diamond velvet interior.... window etchings ect... The motor is not believed to be stock. On that note here are the pics.

Guest chevy_dude97
Looks like a 66-7 Buick 340 engine. Are the 340 engines wider than the 350s? The owner has a 65 vert with a 350 in it and says this engine is wider.
Ken C.
I know it's a little late, but the serial number on the block could help...
Smartin
It really looks like a 350 to me. Numbers would help confirm this.
JohnD1956
I'm going by the valve covers and the location of the coil. The 350 has the coil on the passengers side just about in front of the thermostat housing. The 300 has the coil down low on the passengers side of the timing chain cover. If it were a either of those engines you would probably would not see the coil in the picture showing the distributor. A 350 will also have a "350" cast into the block on the lip where the transmission bell housing attaches.
