Gus Grissom's brass hat Corvette Roadster

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

This is my first post, so I'll introduce myself. My name is Joe and I work for PaulFraserCollectibles.com, which provides a news service on collectibles of all sorts. One of the elements we right about most is classic cars, so I would like to share a few of my articles on here in order to build our profile and also to receive feedback from the classic car collecting community:

http://www.paulfrasercollectibles.com/News/Gus-Grissom%27s-Corvette-Roadster-rockets-to-$86,000-at-Scottsdale/12947.page

Here is a good one from today, with the results of a 1967 Corvette Roadster formerly owned by astronaut Gus Grissom. I always wonder whether I am including the kind of technical detail that you might expect to find in a general article, or whether I should include more?

Thanks for any readers/responses

Well, since you ask for constructive criticism, I'll give some.

Work on your grammar and English, or get someone who knows righting...uh, writing, that is....to edit your posts. The use of dashes and commas - in your writing - is not, correct.

I'd prefer to see more written about the car itself and less about the history of the people who owned it. Technical information is never wasted on a true automotive enthusiast.

Good luck with your endeavors......

Hey,

Thanks for that, much appreciated. My dashes are correct though (Independent clause within a sentence, as in a pause for thought). They are not em dashes (longer dashes) though cos our program doesn't support that format for some reason. I don't know which commas you are referring to, but they all seem fine to me and editor.

Anyway, yes I though some of the technical spec aspects were lacking, so will endeavour to include more in my future articles. Trouble is not always knowing what they mean results in me not known how important they are. My knowledge of cars is quickly improving though.

Cheers!
