Rusty_OToole
AMC used the popular Borg Warner T35 transmission for many years. Used by many cars in the US and overseas.Should not be difficult to get parts for or have rebuilt.Borg-Warner 35 transmission - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
NTX5467
One consideration is that while the basic trans could share some parts with other BW automatics of the time (including the Ford three-speed automatics of that time), what's in the AMC transmission could be "AMC-specific" in some situations, to better tailor the trans to the output characteristics of the AMC engines. Heck, even Jaguar used them in the 1980s!I suspect there's more out there for that trans, even in a nicer Rambler, than you might suspect.Enjoy!NTX5467
Rusty_OToole
Given the number of BW T35 transmissions used, in a dozen makes of cars, over a period of 30 years, it wouldn't surprise me if all the parts were stocked by automatic transmission specialists. It is not as if you are looking for a part that was used only on a 1965 Rambler.
