Guest reattasam
Does anyone know how to find some wheels like on the frd Reatta prototype?
Barney Eaton
I am guessing you are talking about this wheel. David McIntosch designed them and said in 2008 that he also liked them but they did not make it to production. The bad photo of the silver car has them (without hubcaps), you can tell this silver car is an early Reatta design as it has non-production door handles and the mirrors are painted body color. The red/burgandy car with the removable top section has the same wheels, this photo is from D Smiths Reatta book. Note that this cars also had non-production door handles and outside mirrors. To my knowledge GM did not uses these exact wheels on any other car. Olds Toronado's had a similar wheel but you are probably limited to the 15" size they used. Guest reattasam
Thank you so much for a quick reply. The wheels I would really like to find are on the 1989 fwd Reatta turbo at BUICKREATTAPARTS.COM click on the "1989 buick factory turbo reatta info" pictures 2&3, I know they were called Modern Wheel type-225, but I can find nothing else on them.
