Incredible snowing plowing films from upstate NY in the 1930s

On The Old Motor you can learn all about The Walter Snow Fighter. An early powerful brute of a truck made in New York that plowed highways and airports. Stop by and see an incredible film we have of one in Upstate N.Y. plowing 5' of snow. Two clips of the cool film we have posted can be seen below.

I wonder if there are any restored examples. It would be a big hit at the Macungie truck show in June. BTW, there is a longish film clip of one in action on the Practical Machinist site forum............Bob

Out of curiosity I googled Walter trucks and there is a ton of info and interest in/on them. Surprisingly (to me) Walter was bought out By the Kovatch Organization, a fire and emergency truck manufacturer located a few miles from me. My son worked there for a couple of years. Small world..................Bob

There's a close look-a-like in a field, the next town away from me, an "Oshkosh". They were more popular around here than the Walter. --Bob
