I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITHIN SAY 200 MILES MORE OR LESS OF SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY TO DO A COMPLETE LEATHER INTERIOR IN A 1920'S RUMBLE SEAT ROADSTER. DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO DID A NICE JOB ON A CAR THAT YOU HAVE SEEN IN PERSON, SOMEONE WITH THE KIND OF EXPERIENCE NECESSARY TO WORK ON CARS OF THIS VINTAGE. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS.

David Coco is in Winchester, Virginia - maybe a bit more than 200 miles, but well worth the extra distance.

David is a top-quality guy, who does top quality work.

I've known him for better than 35 years, and can vouch for his skill, as well as his ethics.

Search for him on this FORUM as trimacar , and click on his name, and send a PM or an email , here it is:

Hi Marty...we've already been in touch, but it's 500 miles and at this point that's too far, Pikespeaking wants to be within driving distance in case of questions...it's a car I'd love to do though! Thanks for the kind words....

There's a fellow named Smith who does the trim work for D&D restorations in Covington OH a bit north of Dayton. He did the interior on one of my cars and I was very happy with the result. You might also try calling Terry Kesselring at Antique Auto Restorations in Hebron KY near Cincinnati and ask who he uses.

Cragers is a well known local shop that does excellent work.

I had minor repair done on the seats of my 1931 car.

They took the seat backs apart and repaired ties inside.

They are usually backed up from 2 to 4 months for a complete installation.

THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT. I HAVE SPOKEN TO TERRY KESSELRING IN THE RECENT PAST AND WILL FOLLOW UP ON ALL OTHER LEADS. MY EMAILS WITH DAVID COCO HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL AND I NEED TO GIVE HIM A CALL. FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN OF HIS WORK I MIGHT BE TEMPTED TO GO THE EXTRA MILE, OR 300 HUNDRED.
