I placed a bid on that car. It's an impressive project. They don't get much bigger or important for a closed car. I am interested to see where this one ends. In the modern age where post war hp and over the top styling formats the buying decisions for full on restorations, there aren't many folks willing to dig in and do these complicated and expensive restorations.

BRYAN, this is a magnificent Buick - I hope you get it.

I'm somewhat new to watching eBay. If there's no mention of a reserve bid in the home page of the item, does that mean that there is none? If that's the case, then this will indeed be exciting to follow over the next few days.

Despite what the listing says, this car must have an inline six engine. I don't think Buick's first straight-8 came out until 1931.

Tomorrow this closes, high bid is still only $4050. Methinks somebody new is going to own a lovely old car, for not much money at all.

Winning bid = $6100. Congratulations, somebody!

Yes, I noticed that because I had placed a bid, it was in my ebay wheelhouse. I think it was slightly overpaid but not by much. I looked at it as a $4000 car. Significant, but a closed car, needing everything so it's high side is maybe $20,000 to $27,000.

A seller in Kansas can't seem to get rid of a low mileage 28 Master sedan (posted here and ocasionally brought to the top) in the $13,000 to $15,000 range. An original 1921 Buick Touring that was featured in the Bugle and posted here had an asking price in the $10,000 to $11,000 range. So, given all the very hard work and parts securing this one would need, I think $4000 was decent and $6000 is good for the seller.

Was Jake the winner?

Nope. See my comments in the other post. Would be nice to know who got it and see about welcoming them to the PWD.
