WANTED 1910's bras era radiator for speedster project

I'm trying to find some kind of brass era radiator for a speedster project I'm working on. It can be off of just about any make of car as long as it looks period correct. The frame I'm working with is only 24" wide internally, so a radiator somewhere under/over 24" will do. It doesn't have to be perfect. Prefer brass, but one with a steel shroud will be considered. I'm looking for a radiator similar in shape to those pictured but not anything extremely expensive. The radiator will be on the car for looks and it doesn't not have to be perfect.Jason (713) 817-8997

You might want to check out the radiators and shrouds made by "The Brassworks". They show many styles that would be period correct and could provide you with dimensions, etc. for the various styles. Once a style is established, a choice of new vs. used could be made. Used radiators can get expensive to rebuild. Used radiators are available on many sites (AACA, HCCA, e-ba$, MTFCA, just to name a few). Good luck in your search.

I don't plan on rebuilding this radiator. It is just for cosmetic purposes and that is why I said I'm not interested in anything expensive like brass works radiators. They make some beautiful radiators, but they are just flat out to expensive on a cheap speedster project. I recently found to possible candidate radiators.

Problem you'll run into is that radiator will have to match the cooling needs of your engine, sounds like you may be running something modern and a lot of the early stuff may not cool adequately. Early brass radiators are expensive if they're decent and expensive to fix if they're not. Buy yourself a metal shell and have a modern core installed since you probably won't care if the core looks correct for pre 15.

This radiator isn't going to have water in it. I have a small modern aluminum radiator that will be behind it and that is why I don't care if it leaks or not. You won't be able to see it under the Cut down American LaFrance hood. I've seen this done with several old fire trucks and it cools the modern engine just fine in a huge truck. It will surely work in a speedster even though it isn't pretty under the hood.

if it doesn't need to function you should make one, sheet brass isn't too expensive and some basic skills would be the only thing required.
