Guest sweetr1237
I'm looking for any information regarding the front center cowl vent on my 1928 4 door sedan (not sure if it's a victory 6 or ????). I was able to locate replacement springs at Meyers dodge but I'm missing the hinge. I was told by someone that the springs are all you need but that does not seem to be the case. I spoke with another Dodge owner and he said his vent has plates on the sides that hold it in place but his vent does not look like mine and I believe his was a 1930. I'm looking fo any information out there (even pictures) so that I can make this operational, even if I have to fabricate a hinge. I just would like somemore information before I spend hours trying to re-engineer a simple cowl vent hinge. Thanks, Randy S.
Guest 1930
You might want to try posting pictures of what you do have so that the right people here will recognize it and be able to help better.I would try to identify the car you are working on before working on it. JACK M
*I know that you cant see much here, but the way that the hinge is up above the aftermarket gauges it cannot be seen from under the dash. There is a lever on the drivers side that opens and closes it. Maybe you can see the springs in these pics, I dont know, I didnt really look at them because I knew that they are not very good. At least it may be a start for you. This is a Victory 6 that most on here dont care much for, but, hey Im having fun !!!
Machinist_Bill
Jack, you have to go and get an avatar enlargement! It's too hard to see that old Dodge. I did it and now I feel good about myself! Oh, and did anyone notice that I crossed over to the "Dark Side"? See my avatar and vehicle signature.......Bill

JACK M
OK, I have been seeing you guys struggling with the enlargement thing.I never thought that I needed it. But maybe to satisfy my own insecurities you could walk me through the process.
Machinist_Bill
Simple. Edit your avatar by replacing it. It will come out LARGE.
