The trans in 34 were quite different from 37. Most came with free wheeling so are longer than the 37. As well the 34 is non synchro where as the 37 had synchro in 2nd and 3rd gears. One last difference is the 37 had the shift lever that bolted to the top of the trans. The 34 had the shift lever that bolted to a cross member, a much poorer system. I believe a Dodge or Plymouth tranny from 35 to 38 should all be the interchangeable. You may have to change the front shaft in some cases.
