Craig Gillingham Posted December 19, 2012 Share Posted December 19, 2012 I'm not 100% sure, but I remember seeing one that looked the same as this on a 1927 Chev truck. Dave Mellor NJ Posted December 20, 2012 Share Posted December 20, 2012 (edited) Model Ts used a stick with graduations on it. That would make sense to have a gauge you could affix. The Chevies up to 29 had a gauge right on the rear tank. In 30 they put it inside. That's one of the differences between 29 and 30. Craig Gillingham Posted December 20, 2012 Share Posted December 20, 2012 The one I saw was certainly the same make as the subject fuel gauge -I'm 100% sure there is no difference there, it was identical. The Chev trucks of the period had their fuel tanks under the seat, not at the back. I thought if the fuel gauge shown had the same thread dimensions, it may confirm its use.
