R W Burgess
I have noticed a difference among some of our forum users lately. Seems we have all become a little edgy. I know the feeling myself. Between the recent election, the barrage of TV commercials, the tragedy in Connecticut, the stress at work because of the present economy, and of course, Christmas SHOPPING! (every man loves this), a lot of us have forgotten why we are here and how we should act. Here, being the AACA Web Site! The AACA is proud to offer so many things on this web site, including links to our Library, the Museum, AACA Headquarters, and of course our forums.Someone just said today, that enjoying our forums is like coming into someone’s living room for a visit. Please be mindful that it is exactly like that. So, during this holiday, how about we all “visit” each other in our living room with a Christmas present in hand, a thankfulness that we can share each other’s knowledge in a friendly way. A handshake or a hug goes a long way during the holidays. Here's my hug to you! Happy Holidays to all of you!Wayne Edited December 18, 2012 by R W Burgess (see edit history)

dan at larescorp
Happy Holidays everyone! Wayne thank you for your help in making this forum a friendly place to sit down and talk about our cars. AACA has some of the most wonderful, and intelligent people I have ever had the privilege to speak to. So thank you everyone for making 2012 a memorable year, and I hope for many more years to come. R W Burgess
......... Happy Festivus!!Happy???? Who called it that? Took the wife shopping yesterday for her gift. She seemed to like the piece of jewelery she was looking at, but would not let me bug it.. "It's not right for me to tell you what I want!""What!" Gee, why do women have to be so difficult? So, I'm back to town early this morning, buying that gift and thinking of purchasing myself a new "protection device" while they are still available. Walked through the first 2 stores visited yesterday, then to the final 2, but could not find the necklace. Darn! One sales person said they had sold a lot of product since yesterday evening.???What? I'm beginning to panic here now. I finally decided on a different type of jewelery, not cheap. Pray for me guys. I hope she loves it. Happy Festivus indeed!:eek:Anyway, us men are not hard to shop for! Magazines, car parts, food gift certificates, car parts, AACA clothing(find it on this web site;)), and more car parts. Yes, we are easy to please. I'm sure glad I'm a man!:cool:Wayne

Thanks for letting me "hang" with you. Print them on card stock, cut them out, fold and tape and hang on your tree or display on your shelf. Pay no attention to the names on the cards. We made these for friends and there are no blanks left. One regular and one for the quilters.........Happy holidays to you. Guest Skyking
"What!" Gee, why do women have to be so difficult? Wayne, years ago my wife & I had the solution. She buys what she likes and I buy what I like. That way we weren't standing in the lines the day after Christmas. It's worked out great!!
Paul Dobbin
After all these years of exchanging gifts and developing a large "re-gifting closet", we called it quits and prefer to get together with friends and family for food and fellowship. Works good, costs less, is more fun and the old gift closet can store restoration parts.Happy Holidays to all and we hope to see you on AACA Tours enjoying these old cars and a wonderful group of people.
