My little sister of 3 (I was 11) jumped out of the backseat of my Mom's '68 Polara as we pulled into the driveway. Dawn jumped up crying "Mommy you ran over me!!" We were stunned she jumped out of the car but did not believe she got ran over. I carried her in the house and as she was insistent she got ran over, I could see some sort of marks on her tights, I took them off her and was shocked to see pock marks across both her legs matching the studs of the snow tires! Thankfully the snow was deep enough to absorb her little legs and she escaped any injuries. This was before car seats were popular or required.
