Guest
I have a 1939 Oldsmobile with no VIN tag or title. Is there any way to get a 1939 title, even with a new VIN? Without this our state would require it registered as a 2000 auto which has all kinds of other problems.
Guest
You can replace a lost or missing title by contacting Broadway Title Co. at 1-800-464-3222. I have done it and it works great.

Rick Hoover
fhanson,
Sure you have a VIN number. It's located on the frame. Left side frame rail under the hood. You may have clean off the frame a little to read it or to take a trace rubbing of the number.
Your engine number is on the upper left corner of the engine block. ( Don't use that for a VIN # though.)
Hope this helps,
Rick

Guest
This car had already been modified. Where the VIN plate use to be is a brake master cylinder and where the VIN would be on the frame (front left) has been replaced with a 1972 NOVA front end. If I had my wishes, it would be all original. Unfortunately the car was already modified when we purchased it.
