Restorer32
Received my 2013 AACA calendar today. At $12 or so it's well worth the money, if only for the show schedule. I noticed that my copy was shipped priority mail at a cost of over $4. I assume several thousand of these are sold and shipped. Must be a less expensive way to deliver these to members. I'm sure AACA could put the savings to better use.
Restorer32
Was beginning to doubt my memory so I dug the mailing envelope out of the trash. Actual postage was $4.90 for a weight of about 6 ounces. Maybe there is a reason for the Priority Mail? Just curious.

1937hd45
Without knowing the US Postal Rules, I'd give AACA credit for using Priority mail. Bob
Restorer32
At 6 ounces they could be delivered First Class for around $3. It's no big deal, just thinking that money could be used better elsewhere.
Joseph P. Indusi
The other possibility might be Media Mail. I will check with Post Office next time I am there.Joe
Dave@Moon
The other possibility might be Media Mail. I will check with Post Office next time I am there.Joe6 oz. 1st Class costs $2.46, 6 oz. Media Mail costs $2.47. However it's irrelevant anyway because calendars are not eligible for Media Mail.
Steve Moskowitz
Jeff,Unless something else came in the priority mail it most liklely was an error due to a new staff person in training. We do NOT send out a single calendar priority mail.
Restorer32
Thanks for the reply Steve. I kind of thought maybe it was a mistake, thus my concern. Nothing else in the envelope except the calendar.
john2dameron
Mine came first class mail for $1.90 and I think came within 3 or 4 days after I called and renewed my membership and ordered the calendar. It actually came so soon I was surprised.
