Were there any penalties, such as, smoke, fouled plugs or what? Year and make of car, if possible. Ron<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
Marty Roth
It works for me in my 1986 Suburban 454 ci when towing in excess heat conditions, by lowering the octane, I think. I generally use 10 - 20% diesel without any harmful effects, other than a slight decrease in fuel mileage, which beats the heck out of sitting on the shoulder, or worse yet, blocking lanes of a busy intersection with tow-rig and trailer. rons49
Thanks, I'm beginning to think there's something to this theory. Not so much octane reduction, but volitility stabilization, by raising the boiling point. Kinda like Water Wetter for fuel. Ron
