Yes....1961. On a lot of cars you can see the last two numbers of the year built on the lens. Look close and you will see the raised numbers.

Without a doubt it is a '61. My grandfather had one and I remember it well.

The number "11" is for a 2-Door Sedan. The next letter is the Engine ID. The letter "S" equals a 144 Cubic Inch Displacement six cylinder. The rest of the numbers is the consecutive unit number. The 1961 Comet consecutive unit number started with 800,001.
