F/S: Quality, High Zinc Motor Oil for Our Rivieras

This is a deal for guys living in MN, IA, WI, IL, NE, SD and ND only. Sorry, but the shipping cost is prohibitive elsewhere. Forget about $6.00 or $7.00 a quart special oil, or using an expensive zinc additive to protect you collector car's engine. I have a few cases of SJ-rated engine oil left for sale.

What I'm selling is the old school,
Chevron Delo 400
motor oil....IT IS NOT WHAT'S IN THE STORE TODAY. It has the high levels of zinc and phosphorus needed to protect the engines in our older collector vehicles. I bought a number of cases of this Delo 400 oil several years back, just BEFORE the specs were going to change (to considerably lower zinc and phosphorus levels).

A lot has been written in collector car and truck publications, noting that today's engine oil just doesn't have the zinc and phosphorus levels needed to protect the valve trains found in pre-1986 flat tappet engines. These articles state that nearly all collector cars and trucks should not be running today's API SM and SN oils...regardless of what the bottle says.

I have a few cases of high quality, Chevron Delo 400 10W-30 available. This oil has an API designation of SJ for gasoline engines. The zinc content is 1550 ppm, while the phosphorus content is 1490 ppm. Most of today's SM- or SN-rated oil has less than 900 ppm zinc.

I also have a couple of cases of Chevron Delo 400 30W left. The API designation is SJ for gas engines. This oil has even higher zinc and phosphorus levels than the 10W-30.

The price, INCLUDING shipping to MN, IA, WI, IL, NE, SD and ND only, is $55 per case. This gives you a DELIVERED COST of about $4.50 per quart. I have a reasonable shipper that serves these seven states, which is why the offer is only good for that area. Your personal check or a money order is welcomed. If using PayPal, please add 4% to cover the fees. Thanks for looking. John
