AngelRose:
I don't know how to be ummmm . . . "diplomatic" about this. There is no such Studebaker model as a 1925 Diplomat!
In 1925, Studebaker models were Standard Six, Special Six and Big Six. In 1927, Studebaker switched to naming models - Dictator, Special, Commander and President. In fact, the only make with the Diplomat name that I can remember is Dodge in the late 80s.

A GE-C-1 Dictator Victoria is a 1928-29 Studebaker Dictator. The GE Dictator was built in 1928-29 and you verifiy this by going to: http://www.antiquestudebakerclub.com/i_d__car_part_2.htm
All Studebaker Dictator cars shiped over seas when new got called a "Director", it seems the word "Dictator" in those years did not go over good in Europe and South America.
You can also see pictures of 1928-30 Studebakers on the Antique Studebaker Web site here: http://www.antiquestudebakerclub.com/1928-30.htm
Here is a picture of a factory photo of a GE Dictator Victoria:

29_GE_Victoria.jpg
[ 05-14-2002: Message edited by: Mark Huston ]
