Help in identifying a 45rpm vinyl record

My grandfather used to own a Chevy/Buick dealership that went out of business in the early 80's. Now going through some of the left over items, I have come across some old 45rpm vinyl records that were sent from Detroit MI to the Dealerships. I have been told that these could be promo 45's that were used in the 60's or 70's for the old unveiling of cars back when it was a big deal. However, I am not sure that this is the case. Has anyone ever heard of these 45's and pending on what they are and should this be something that I should donate to a museum?

Could be ad jingles for radio station use. If they have "The Jam Handy Organization" on them anywhere that's probably what they are.

In 1964, Chevrolet was a major sponsor of "Bonanza" and Chevrolet issued a paper record that had Lorne Greene introducing the new 1964 Chevrolets.

Just some of the neat car ephemera that made you wanna go buy a new car, that the carmakers produced back then and unfortunately don't do any more. Face it- modern car advertising is as boring as the cars they're trying to sell.

The AACA Library may want them; otherwise I think your best bet is to sell them to people who collect such things (and there are plenty of them right here on this site!)

The only two promotional 45 rpm records that Chevrolet or Buick made that I know of are a 2-sided record of "SS-396" by Paul Revere and the Raiders b/w "Camaro" by The Cyrcle (released 1967), and a 45 with "SS-396" b/w recording of "Corvair Baby" also by Paul Revere and the Raiders from 1966. Both are fairly common. In Near Mint condition it usually brings around $10-$12 on eBay. (The songs are great, by the way!)

I've got a 76 Olds that I bought new. I ordered the car with a Delco AM-FW MPX stereo cassette and in the glove box was a demo cassette tape that explains the systems and it's audio virtues.

BTW, please don't tell us you don't have a phonograph!

UPDATE- I have a bit more information. I am hoping to listen to the 45's sometime in the near future, however, one I was able to gather more information on this item. The phone number on this 45 is CE-5-XXXX. It does have information stating that it "presents a new concept in Dealership advertising, custom made, personalized music salesman for every local Buick Dealership" I would assume that this one is narrowing it down to advertising. Any other information would be great and thank you for all that have responded! Again, not sure what to do with these.

These were probably a radio ad that a VO artist could add the dealership's information to for a radio commercial. It would be great to do a needledrop (i.e., a digital recording of the record being played) and put it with a photo or two on YouTube.
