56 buick seat swap

Hi, I have a 1956 Buick Super, 4dr. hardtop, and was wondering if seats from a 56 Buick Roadmaster 4dr. post sedan, will fit mine? I realize that the Super and Roadmaster are the same wide body cars. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks, Neil in N.Dak.

One would think that it is possible, but according to the parts books, they are diff part numbers for model 53 (4dr hardtop) versus model 72 (4dr Sedan). The front seat cushion (bottom) seems to be the same, but the front seat back (top) is different. Could just be because of style versus actual physical fitment.

Robert, I guess the only way, is to measure, before I purchase. I know that between the Roadmaster and the Super, the seat covers were different, as in upgraded. I really appreciate you taking time to send me the parts fitment. Neil in N.Dak.

Just make sure you have sufficient room between the door pillars. The hardtop pillars may be more stout than the sedan pillars, but I am not certain of that.
